Small Kansas City Wine Shop Is No ‘Underdog’
From our friends at Eat It Kansas City

By Lillian Schrock

A new wine shop with more than 400 bottles of wine has infiltrated the alcohol landscape of Kansas City, Mo. — Underdog Wine Co.. The shop might be small in size — fewer than 600 square feet — but its collection of wine more than makes up for it.

Eat It Kansas City recently profiled Underdog, which opened in Crestwood next to Café Europa on East 55th Street. Owner Ryan Sciara also filled the shop with craft beer, spirits and gourmet chocolate.

“Underdog’s selection is unique and provides plenty of affordable options for all types of budgets,” Eat It says.

Underdog Wine Co. is open Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
